Introducing Bek, one of our Support Coordinators. Her happy place is the Adelaide Hills and is a lover of ginger latte’s! .Bek is available in Northern Adelaide.
I love being outside, either hiking, swimming in the ocean, and exploring new places. My happy place is to be in the Adelaide Hills, enjoying a Ginger Latte, or a glass of white. By the same token, a good Netflix binge is always on the cards!
I have been working in the Disability Support Industry for the last 10 years. I work as a Support Worker, and as a Support Coordinator. I really enjoy supporting children and families in their everyday lives. I have spent the last two years focussing on Support Coordination, and supporting individuals and their networks to better understand how to participate in NDIS processes. I thoroughly enjoy supporting individuals to think broadly about how they would like to live their best lives, and what the next steps are in achieving those visions.
If we don’t know the answer, we can find it together. Knowing how to find the answer is sometimes more important than the answer itself. In this space, NDIS will continue to grow, develop and change (just like we do, as people), and so too will our ability to navigate those new questions, and put the pieces together.
I am very excited to be a part of the ICJP team, to work with a wide range of participants and colleagues to continue to learn and develop my skills in a supportive environment.
