Introducing Kirsty, one of our lovely Support Coordinators. Kirsty is available in Northern Adelaide.

My name is Kirsty and I am a mother of three children and have three grand babies who I love spending time with. I enjoy being down at the beach, or watching a good movie on the couch. Outside of work I enjoy catching up with friends over a good meal.

I have worked in the disability and mental health sector for 8 years now and have found it very rewarding. I have completed a double degree in Psychological Science and Social Science and have also completed a diploma in Community Services, Alcohol and other drugs.

I have spent some time as a mental health respite support worker and moved into Service Coordination where I spent 5 years overseeing participants living in the community with a disability and complex needs. My passions include building capacity in staff to deliver holistic person centred support to enhance the lives of the people we support, and watching participants experience life and learn new skills to achieve their goals.

I have worked with many complex needs participants and I enjoy assisting them to live their best life. I have been fortunate to have a wide variety of experiences and managed multiple areas within the services provided. I have been effective in managing crisis and risk mitigation to ensure the safety of vulnerable people within the community.

I enjoy advocating for people who aren’t able to do this for themselves and I love watching people succeed in the things that are important to them.

I have many friends that are part of the SSC family, with many attempts to have me join too! I am really looking forward to supporting participants from a new perspective and engaging them in community access and helping them in achieving their goals. I am very fortunate to have an opportunity to work with some amazing individuals that have the same values and passions.
