People who require modifications to their meals will often have oral eating and drinking care plans. Our mealtime management training supports staff to understand how to safely support their clients during meals.
Why is it important?
We believe that it is important for all staff supporting people who have mealtime plans (oral eating and drinking care plans) to understand how to best support the people they are working with. Our training supports staff to understand the normal swallowing process and swallowing disorders, as well as provides strategies for safe practices when supporting people with eating and drinking difficulties.
How can we help?
At ICJP we offer a variety of different mealtime management packages from general training to training suited to individual organisation needs. Our training is led by qualified therapists with experience in the disability sector.
